Research Peptide

PEG-MGF, or Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor, is basically a synthetic version of MGF. MGF itself comes from IGF-1, it's a splice variant of it. In lab models, MGF tends to show up in muscle tissue once there's been some kind of mechanical stress.

The "PEG" part just means PEG has been attached to the peptide. That's done to help it last longer and stay more stable during research work, compared to the version without PEG.

Research use only. This is for labs and developmental research. Not for humans, not for animals, plain and simple.

Quick Facts

Common name: PEG-MGF
Also called: Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor, PEG-IGF-1 Ec, PEG-IGF-1Ea, PEG myotrophin
Comes from: Insulin like Growth Factor-1
Type: Pegylated 24 amino acid fragment, C terminal
Base weight: around 2,860 to 2,948 Da
Formula (base peptide): C121H200N42O39

Where Researchers Use It

PEG-MGF shows up in a few areas of lab work:

IGF-1 receptor signaling
Muscle cell growth and differentiation
Satellite cell activation, in vitro
Stability and half life testing
Structure activity studies on splice variants

A lot of this ties back to how cells respond to mechanical stress and tissue adaptation, that's where MGF peptides get referenced most. Some labs run PEG-MGF next to SNAP-8 too, especially when stability and structure are the focus. None of this is meant as medical advice, just research.

Regulatory Status

FDA hasn't cleared PEG-MGF for treating or preventing anything. It's strictly a lab research item.

Legal and Safety Info

Not a supplement, just a raw compound. Keep away from kids. There isn't much long term data on it yet, so anyone handling it should know what they're doing in a lab setting.

Buying it means you're taking on the responsibility to use it legally and only for research
