Kisspeptin-10, a Synthetic Decapeptide

Kisspeptin-10, or Kp-10, is a small synthetic peptide. Just ten amino acids. It comes from the KISS1 gene. Out of everything tied to that gene, this is the shortest piece that still works, meaning it can still switch on the kisspeptin receptor. People call that receptor GPR54, or sometimes KISS1R.

There's a part at the end called C terminal amidation, sitting right on Phe-10. Without that piece, the peptide won't bind to the receptor properly in lab tests.
