KPV 10mg: A Tripeptide From Alpha-MSH

KPV is about as small as peptides get, just three amino acids strung together. Lysine, proline, valine, in that order. It comes from the tail end of alpha MSH, specifically positions 11 through 13 of that larger hormone. Researchers found something interesting early on, most of alpha MSH's anti inflammatory punch actually lives in just those last three residues.

Research use only. Strictly for labs, not for people or animals.

What It's Made Of

Formula: C16H30N4O4
Weight: around 342.43 g/mol
CAS number: 67727-97-3
Form: White to off white lyophilized powder

Unlike the full alpha MSH molecule, KPV doesn't bind the usual melanocortin receptors. That means it skips the pigmentation effects entirely, while still holding onto the anti inflammatory activity. Its smaller size also helps it move through biological barriers more easily than the full length hormone.

Where Researchers Use It

A handful of areas keep showing up in KPV literature:

NF-kB pathway inhibition, often by blocking p65 from entering the nucleus
Inflammatory cytokine reduction in cell models
Intestinal and epithelial inflammation studies
PepT1 transporter related uptake research
Comparisons against full length alpha-MSH activity

Quite a few labs studying KPV also run Oxytocin Acetate alongside it, mostly when looking at how different small peptides behave across receptor and signaling research.

Regulatory Status

No FDA approval exists for KPV in any form. It's sold strictly as a research chemical.

Legal and Safety Info

Not a supplement, just a raw research compound. Keep it away from kids. Long term safety data is limited, so handling should be left to people trained in lab work.

Buying this means agreeing to use it legally, for research purposes only.
