Selank 11mg: A Tuftsin Derived Heptapeptide
Selank comes from a natural immune peptide called tuftsin, just four amino acids on its own. Researchers at Russia's Institute of Molecular Genetics took that base sequence and added three more aminos onto the end back in the 1990s, building it into the seven piece chain we now call Selank.

Structure and Identity
The full sequence runs Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, often shortened to TKPRPGP. Formula comes out to C33H57N11O9, with a molecular weight sitting around 751.9 g/mol. CAS number is 129954-34-3, and some literature also refers to it as TP-7. As a raw material, it shows up white to off white, freeze dried into powder form.
Tuftsin by itself barely survives in plasma, breaking down within seconds because certain enzymes chew through it fast. The added Pro-Gly-Pro tail on Selank changes that picture entirely, slowing the breakdown and also helping the molecule cross into the central nervous system more easily, which is part of why it's typically studied through intranasal delivery routes rather than oral ones.
What Labs Study It For
A handful of research threads come up often with Selank:
GABAergic and serotonergic pathway modulation
Stress and anxiety related behavior, mostly in rodent models
BDNF expression changes
Enkephalin metabolism and degradation
Immune signaling tied to its tuftsin origin
Quite a few researchers working with Thymosin Alpha-1 also bring Selank into the same studies, especially when looking at how different peptides influence immune and neurological pathways together.
Regulatory Status
Selank is approved in Russia for specific clinical uses, but it carries no such approval in the United States. Here, it's sold strictly as a research compound.
Legal and Safety Info
Not a supplement, just a raw research material. Keep it away from kids. Long term safety data outside Russian research settings is limited, so only trained lab personnel should be handling this.
Buying this means agreeing to use it legally, for research purposes only.
